About Will
Intro:
Will Keebler is a multi instrumentalist and music industry professional based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He specializes in drums and percussion, but also boasts experience playing guitar and bass guitar, as well as an understanding of live and in-studio audio engineering.
Will's versatility and adaptability have equipped him to excel in many musical scenarios. This combined with his strong work ethic and professionalism ensure that he is constantly evolving and refining his craft. While his musical influences are rooted in 90's and 00's rock, Will enjoys playing a wide variety of genres including Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Musical Theater.
Musical Background:
Will’s commitment, drive, and passion for music took root at a young age. He began taking piano lessons at the age of 8, and transitioned to the drums at age 10. Throughout high school and college, Will was very involved in music, studying percussion and being a committed leader in his school music department. He gained valuable experience and versatility by playing in percussion ensembles, concert bands, rock bands, jazz ensembles and musical theatre productions.
Will continued to craft his musicianship by writing, recording and performing with a variety of bands outside of school. Through this experience, Will has developed skills in recording, audio engineering and live sound, as well as grown his music industry knowledge.
In addition to drums and percussion, Will began playing guitar and bass guitar in high school. What began as a hobby turned into a full-fledged interest in college. It was there that Will honed his skills and found himself playing lead guitar and bass in pop and rock ensembles, plus contributing to several studio recording projects, often on all instruments. Will now prides himself on his versatility as a musician and his ability to fit into many musical situations.
Music Industry Background:
Will graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music and Entertainment Industries from Minnesota State University in May of 2022. In college, Will was always taking opportunities to be involved on campus and grow his music industry knowledge and experience.
These opportunities included supporting the music department through work as a studio assistant and audio engineer, as well as serving as the President of the Music Industry Student Organization. Will was also twice elected to be the Concert Company Chair for the Student Events Team. In this role, he was responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading large scale concert events on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus, with artists including Jesse McCartney and Tai Verdes.
Since graduating college, Will has worked as a marketing and ticketing contractor for the national concert promoter Pepper Entertainment. He has gained production and technical experience as a stagehand with the Minneapolis venue First Avenue. Will also grew his sales and customer service skills while working in music equipment retail. Additionally, Will actively records and performs throughout the midwest with artists including alt-rock band Pullstring and pop-rock singer Jada LaFrance.
